Generally it looks wider than expected to me but there are certainly some narrow spots. The cars flying up through the old town will looks amazing but I suspect there will be some carnage. They’re gonna need track workers on par with those at Monaco, and lots of them, to make the race run smoothly. We’ll see in two weeks, I guess.

T13, T14 and T15 would be a beast at full race pace. Like Istanbul Park’s Turn 8, but bent until slightly less circular, with one less apex and next to no runoff whatsoever. T17 to T20 is also a hoot. The rest is forgettable, though.

Doesn’t look as claustrophobic as Monaco. Looks like it might have some useful overtaking spots.

Agreed. The track seems to widen usefully before several of the tighter corners. I expect lots of dive-bombing down the inside on the brakes. Could make for a decently entertaining race, or it could be shit like Singapore. We’ll find out soon enough.

As much as it pains me to say it, maybe Max Verstappen will be its first victim. I do hope he has a better weekend than he did at Monaco.

I’m just hoping it doesn’t turn into the next Singapore or Valencia but I’m a bit fearful that it may. The thing that gives me hope is how the track opens up before several of the tight corners, giving the drivers opportunity to make dives up the inside on the brakes. We’ll see...

Either max, Rio or one of the sauber's. It could be Mad Max though because he goes balls out the whole time.
